Succession "smear campaign" - in UK

The Observer reports today that David Milliband, who might challenge Gordon Brown for the leadership of the Labour Party in the UK, is fearing a smear campaign might be launched against him. Sounds familiar? Maybe our politics are not as abnormal as we sometimes think.
